Some vacation hotspots for Christmas are Ile aux Aigrettes with its overwhelmingly beautifully indigenous flora and fauna,

or you could go on an exotic South African Safari, or simply fly out to the Gold Coast in Australia with its legendary beaches and azure waters.

Or you could visit the malls in Sydney where it is summer but you will see make-believe snow and hear buskers singing Christmas carols… it’s all terribly exciting.

But if you don’t want to visit these great destinations just yet, you could always get on gorgeous train rides with your kids who’ll love the experience.

What you get on these festooned wheeling fantasies are prancing elves, Santa (of course), and hot cocoa.

Among the favorite rides is the ‘Polar Express’ which attempts to recreate the wonderful adventure in the eponymous kids’ book. This ride is accompanied by story-narration, hot chocolate and Santa, even a little gift sometimes.

Another favorite is the ‘North Pole Express’ based in Parrish (close to Tampa) in Florida where Santa greets you rather warmly at the North Pole Or, if you are looking for something more adventurous, you could try the Rocky Mountaineer Vacations for an exciting Canadian trip through the Rocky Mountains.

Your best bet is to book nice and early because these rides sell like hot cakes before Christmas! Christmas Lighting ceremonies too, are a great way of spending Christmas vacations.

Some holiday spots are just too groovy. Just check some of these out. The famous Hershey Theme Park in Philadelphia which is home to the eponymously legendary chocolate empire is a sheer delight, just to give one instance.

Here, you can drive through the Christmas Candylane with your family across the forests while being treated to colorful firework displays all along. And if you happen be in the US capital, Washington D.C.

you will see the President light up this really large Christmas tree close to the White House to kickstart the Pageant of Peace which lasts for three weeks.

And if are anywhere close to the Niagra Falls, you will be greeted by the awesome sight of the great Falls lighting up! Later, you can go on this marvelous five-kilometer drive through the Niagara Parks Winter Wonderland famed for their 100 fireworks display and the animated displays pertaining to the ‘Enchantment of Disney’.
