A quest with Grandma

Christmas is an unforgettable festival as it is celebrated in a distinct style by giving gifts to each other, eating lots of cakes and you get an experience of many novel things. One such incident is related to a Christmas adventure a kid had with his Grandma. The story is that a little boy and his sister were preparing the Christmas tree and his sister Rachel announced that ‘there is no Santa Claus’ who comes and showers gifts. The little boy John could not accept it as his Grandma had told him that Santa comes on Christmas night. He could not accept his sister’s words and so he dashed to his Grandma.

John’s Grandma was busy preparing hot buns. John ran to her and Grandma offered hot buns to him. He had a bite of it as it was always tempting to resist Grandma’s buns and asked her ‘is there no Santa Claus’. Instantly Grandma snorted ‘Ridiculous’ do not go with such words as they are rumors going for many years. She asked me to put my coat and accompany her. John accompanied her to the nearby Kerby’s General Store. This store was a little bit of a thing but had everything in that small roof. John’s Grandma handed 10 dollars and permitted him to buy something that someone else needs and not for himself. She returned to the car and allowed John to take his decision.

John was puzzled as he always accompanied his mother while shopping, but had never been on an adventure on his own. The store was filled with people who were scrambling to complete their Christmas shopping. John was completely confused what and for who on this earth he had to buy. Suddenly his mind flashed a name Bobby Decker, his class mate. Bobby was a kid with messy hair and bad breath who never had a coat and his mother always gave a note with some excuse for Bobby not wearing a coat. But all in the school knew that Bobby did not have one such thing called coat. I decided that I would buy a coat for Bobby.

John settled for red corduroy and the lady at the counter packed it wishing john a Merry Christmas. The same evening Grandma wrapped it with ribbons and wrote ‘To Bobby, From Santa’ on it and Grandma whispered to John that Santa loved to maintain secrecy and drove john to Bobby’s house. John put the present on his step, pounded the doorbell and flew behind the bushes near his Grandma. He noticed Bobby standing on the doorstep and was thrilled to have that gift. This adventure with his Grandma confirmed John that Santa was alive and he was a team member.
