The sons agreed. They started together. The eldest son joined the king’s army and soon became an adept and brave soldier. The second son reached the docks and became a sailor. The third son joined with a swordsman and learned swordsman ship from him.
He later found out that his teacher was a robber but he helped him as he was grateful to his teacher. He soon made a name for himself as a robber. During the year, the three brothers never saw each other.
The year had almost ended. The three brothers had started their homeward journey. They reached their anxious father. The eldest son said that he had once saved the king from being killed by his own treacherous minister.
The second son said that he had once saved the captain’s daughter by jumping into the water and rescuing her.
The third son mentioned about himself being a robber and he said that he had saved his enemy, a law officer from a snake that tried to kill him when he was asleep.
At that moment, Jesus appeared and said that the peasant and his third son deserved to go to heaven as the third son had helped his enemy and was loyal to his teacher even though he did many wrong actions.
The third son protested and asked Jesus to allow his other two brothers into Heaven. Jesus smilingly obliged and the entire family went to Heaven. |
