A Fascinating Christmas Story

Christmas is an occasion to grab some gifts for each other. A very nice way of honoring each other is by giving them the desired gift. However, gifts are always appreciated.

This is one such story revealing the significance of Christmas gifts. Alice was a working woman and loved to part with gifts to the orphanage children on Christmas.

She loved to do so and was in a fit of hurry as she was getting late. She had hoards of work to complete such as purchase gifts, pack them, write individual names and then put it on their windows.

She hurried through the toy departments and mumbled all the prices of the toys and wondered if the children would adore having such toys.

Alice somehow came to a conclusion of getting few toys packed and happened to notice a little boy holding a pretty doll.

He was touching the doll gently and Alice could not take her eyes away from the little boy and wondered for whom the doll was for.

In the meanwhile, Alice noticed that this little boy called his aunt and asked her if he had enough money to buy that doll, and his aunt denied and left for the aisle.

But the boy continued to gently fondle the doll. Alice could not resist, she went to the boy and asked why he was holding the doll.

He lovingly told Alice that he wanted this doll for his sister and she would be waiting thinking that Santa Claus would gift this to her on Christmas.

Alice instantly convinced the little boy saying that was true and Santa would gift his sister on Christmas. But the little boy replied that Santa cannot reach his sister as she was staying with Jesus, and his mother was almost going to visit his sister.

He had asked his mother to wait as he wanted to present this doll to his sister through his mother.

Alice heart moved to tears and she became silent for a moment. Later the boy showed his family picture and Alice recollected this was the same family hit by a drunk driver and the little girl was badly injured. She had seen in the newspaper.

But today, Christ had given her an opportunity to help an innocent lad so she slipped some money with his collection and pretended to count the amount.

Now the amount reached the little boys expectations and he bought that lovely doll for his sister and a white rose for his mother.

Alice just slipped away and was touched by the love that little lad had for his sister and the overwhelming love for his mother. Alice could never forget that Christmas and thanked Jesus for giving an opportunity to help someone in true need.

We can never forget that though we make a living with whatever we get, we make a life with the best we can give.
